Verse of The Month

“It is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them. Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble. Trouble chases sinners, while blessings reward the righteous.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Did you want to see me broken?

Bowed head and lowered eyes?

Shoulders falling down like teardrops.

Weakened by my soulful cries.”

…the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about.

and when you profess that Jesus is Lord, it can’t happen to you, to me… right?

wrong! depression is real & it’s scary. to feel as though your life is spinning out of control & you’re stuck with no hopes of getting off the roller coaster is a feeling I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

I’m here to encourage you, to encourage myself… you are not alone.

God has not forsaken you or me. the enemy comes to steal, kill & destroy. if he can get our focus off of our Lord & Savior… he wins…

b u t if we keep our minds stayed on H I M- the Lord of Lords…

we w i l l have the victory… every single time! for no weapon formed against us shall prosper. yes, my friend, that’s right- the weapon will form, but it has no power over us. you see, we have the mind of Christ & His Word says that His supernatural peace will guard our hearts & minds.

so when that black hole portal of heaviness tries to swallow you, choose to remember God’s promises & stand on His Word.

It never fails, it never returns void. It accomplishes what He desires & prospers in the thing in which it was sent…

He will never leave or forsake us. He’s our shield, our hiding place- we only need to be still and turn our eyes to Him.

He’s our ever present help in our times of trouble [fill in your blank….i.e.: loneliness, inadequacy, sadness, hopelessness, unworthiness …etc]

“I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide,

Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.

Leaving behind nights of terror and fear

I rise”
